Why not just do a Evo 4G63 in the Non turbo Eclipse?

My final note to this thread is that if you've built the block and are running a turbo setup than I'm assuming you have low compression pistons strong rods etc...

Making 400hp on a built 420a is as easy as on a 4g63, I've worked on both and currently own a 420a turbo. The factory head on a 420a has just as good air flow, and even better than a srt4. So the idea of changing it is unnecessary. Cams/Gears, springs/retainers, port & polish, maybe some valves if you feel is more than enough for 400.

Before constantly dreaming about how fast you can go, really think about it. Make a parts list break it down. You got to plant the power too, your going to need tires suspension etc...

There's no reason to say swap the motor in a 420a if your happy with fwd. If you want awd than sure consider options. But I think the op was just going off on a huge tangent with the idea of a evo head and has received enough info on the fact that it can not be done.

I don't know anything about this subject but, I figured I'd share some info on this, maybe someone can tell me what those numbers mean.

the 420a flows better on intake, the 4g better on exhaust. pretty common for NA vs. Forced induction.

But in all seriousness, Type in "evo swap, 420a" on google and see how many people have actually done it with more proof than a picture.
