evo 16g turbo to a DSM?

Ok. well my bud is getting a DSM after winter .. he cant decide between a 1g or 2g. but in May im getting new stuff for my evo and ill be getting rid of my stock 16g turbo and manifold. he wants to know if its possible if it can fit to a DSM with some fabrication maybe. he was talkn with some ppl and think it may .. cause it would delete the need for a j pipe. but a down pipe would prob be need to be fabricated. so i was just wondering if it is possible for it to work? thanks

Nope.... the turbo won't fit a DSM

What year Evo? If its any of the newer ones, it will not work because the turbo is setup backwards to the setup on 1g and 2g DSMs.

It won't work, sorry.

The EVO 8 16G is reversed (it sits the opposite way, as does the 4G63 engine in the EVO compared to DSMs). Not only that, the twin scroll exhaust mani and turbo flanges are completely different from DSM flanges. It could work, but it would probably cost more than buying a new EVOIII 16G.

if its an evo III it will work for sure. but since we don't know the year, i'm not sure. *shrug

2004 evo. yes i know its backwards. but i was talkn with someone and it may work cause then you wouldnt need like the j pipe for the intercooler and shit? somsone i talkd to knows someon that did it but the person may be lieing but hes gonna check it out. ... i tihnk i may be possible....

You'd need a new o2 housing, downpipe, exhaust fabrication, intake fabrication...not worth it. You could just sell it and get some money for it, then tell your friend to get an EVO III 16g turbo.
