evo 1 16g turbo

I bought a turbo from the classifieds and he claimed that it was a evo 3 16g. I checked the numbers and it turns out to be an evo 1 16g. I searched and theres not too much on these. How do they compare to the evo 3 ? How much power can I make on it? If theres not too much differnece then ill just use it.

I'd assume its either the small or big 16g. I want to say I've seen it before on here and it is the big 16g but I can't say I'm 100% positive. What are the numbers on the turbo? some threads on here have all the numbers and list them as small, big, and evo III 16gs.

You can take the compressor cover off and measure the inducer/exducer of the blades and match them up. this will give you a sure answer. If it is a small16g, It is capable of low 300whp as well as low 12sec timeslips with the proper supporting mods. Quite possibly more on a race gas/e85 tune. Very underrated turbo that spools like a rocket
