Anyone see any good performance gains from taking an evo 3 16g and putting a 20g compressor wheel on it? I want to do it, but not sure of how much gain it would be.

I was just wondering if you guys think if that would be a good idea for street use, because it will spool like an evo 16g but have the effect of a 20g? atleast that is what I heard.

I was thinking about doing this myself.. mine has wheel damage.

I wanted to upgrade to a TD06 compressor housing, but I wasn't sure if the eBay ones would work with my internal wastegate. Might just rebuild the E316G with a new wheel and call it good.

Interested to hear more input though.

I turned my evo 3 16g into a td05 20g. I could really tell a difference. Well worth it if you have to replace parts anyways.
