Engine shipment damage help?

Hello, So my mehcanic took photos of my motor from the trailer he did not sign off on it and refused it. From the pictures the palet is destroyed and the zip ties are not all the way strapped onto it. Part of the engine was shown poking through the wrap. If it was damaged would the transporter contacted the place I bought from? I need opinions if this engine is still ok for use. Its on hold at a terminal right now. and it looks like the motor is laying on its side.

I don’t see any damage. The cast iron blocks are extremely durable. The intake are aluminum and are a dime a dozen. Where or how do you or your mechanic think the engine is damaged?

He thought it could be damaged because how it was laying it could possibly put alot of stress on the block

chances are if they send it back to where you got if from, the seller will re-pallet the engine and ship it back.
just look it over really good and if nothings broken, there's no reason to send it back.

It bent the oil cooler line, but not too bad. I’d send it back though and let them deal with it. You’ll know if they send the same one back.

I looked at the picture and it looks like the cooler line was hacked when they removed it from the vehicle.
Look her over good, my sons motor came on a pallet and had tipped over. It didn't damage anything in his case.

Where could I purchase a cooler line for this engine at?

It looks like a 1990 cooler line so check part outs and some of the vendors. I went with AN fittings and line on mine along with a fresh B&M cooler.

Only 1990 is air cooled. 91+ has coolant to help drop oil temps

They also change from 6 bolt to 7 bolt.
