Hi Guys,
On Manday morning as i was driving on the freeway going around 75mph I decided to get on it a little more and dropped to fourth gear and got on it but before I shifted back to fifth gear my car began smoking (white) forming a huge cloud behind where I couldnt see anyone else. My GSX began to loose power slightly until it couldnt go no more (all in about 8 miles from first sign of smoke) The car fires up but cant go far only 10-25 feet and shuts off leaving me blind not being able to see anything at all. I was told that my Turbo went bad and it caused pressure in my motor causing it to leak oil everywhere it could (weak points) I was also told by someone else that I had spun bearings  I was also told that I need new piston rings (but car fires up like nothing until it begins to smoke badly  I was told also that I blew the Head Gasket and it caused all of the oil spill  but no oil in radiator or water in oil??? HELP!

My True Questions is...

Can a Turbo that went bad have caused pressure enough to blow seals???

a lot of oil was lost maybe 3 quarts. The front side of the motor (where the sprocket are below the head) is covered in oil. My Valve Cover breather blew my Fuel Filter (Oil Catch Can) and spilled oil all over that side of the motor, but my main concern is the front side of the motor (sprokets are) What can I do??? is there a way to check if my Turbo is still good even though there is no oil on the outside???

George

Like I said, check the turbo for shaft play. Remove the inlet tube and grab the nut and wiggle it up and down and in and out. Any play? How much?

This post is a little more descriptive than the last and it now sounds like you blew the hg. Like I also replied before, do a compression test and that will tell you if its the hg before.

Dont double post. If you want to change the post you already made, use the edit option. Dont make a new thread just to add to what you already posted.

am not trying to change things around here I just found something different and I believe you posted to one where i had something different going on ( i think ) LOL anyway... I was told that it couldnt be my head gasket because there is no mixture of oil and water going on, but could that still be the problem though??? if so when they go bad do they spill out the front side of the motor??? Could that be a weak point for head gaskets? i will try the Turbo part (i never did ask about a turbo question before either) hmmm... Tomorrow though, Thanks :thumb:
