Should I just have a machine shop do that. and waht about the 7bolt pistons fitting the 6 bolt rods and block?

Yes you should have the machine shop do all drilling and boring, and your stock 6 bolt rods only accept 21mm wrist pins, 2g pistons have a wrist pin that is 22mm, so you will have to have the machine shop bore your rods over, there is SO MANY THREADS ON THIS SUBJECT, good luck with your build, the search function will be your best friend..

The 7 bolt pistons will be too small for the rods to fit in. I had 7 bolt pistons and 6 bolt rods and the rods wouldn't even go into the pistons where you slide the wrist pin threw. I would just keep the bottom all 6 bolt parts. Yes the 7 bolt cylinder head will fit the 6 bolt block, i currently have a 7 bolt cylinder head off a 94 eclipse gst on my 90 eagle talon tsi and have no problems.

Correction, you will need to bore out the pin end of the 6 bolt rod to accept the 7 bolt piston. And the holes for the head need to also be drilled out as 6 bolt studs/bolts are considerably bigger. False information floods this site.
