Engine Knocking need wiseman

The other night i was on the freeway crusing around 80 and I noticed a knocking noise coming from the engine so i pulled over and opened my hood and it sounded like something was knocking against my valve cover, and so i thought it was a bad lifter knocking so i drove home about 100 miles and got some new lifters overnighted to me and swaped them out. put the car back together and the noise is still there. The noise is only when i got my foot on the pedal. if i was just crusing at 3000 rpms its quite until i push on the gas... even a little. WHATS WRONG???????? the engine is just rebuilt around 10k miles ago. it is also loud underneath the car. i still have good oil pressure.

Figure out where in the motor it is coming from, try and pinpoint the area from which its coming, the block, the head??

It sounds like its coming more from the block

dont wanna scare you but it could be rod knock, does the sound increase in both noise and repetition with ## revs?

yea it does, but like i said i had to drive a 100 miles to get home and the noise has neither gotten louder nor quiter and my oil pressure is still up.
