Cruise control, Headlight motors, A/C relays, and all insulation on the firewall.

If your real serious, you would take everything out. Then strip off all that grease in the engine bay so every time you work on it your hands don't get 'as greasy.' From there, buy a "Painless" universal wiring kit ($130-$165 for off brand on ebay), and only run what wires you need going to an AEM EMS (or dsm link on a budget). When it comes yo put everything back in, only put in what is needed. (2-3 vacuum lines, -6 fuel line, Painless wiring harness, factory 'trimmed' wiring harness.) Basically the 'factory trimmed' wiring harness is strip all the tape off the factory harness, and only leave what you need (fuel injector plugs, TB plugs, knock sensor plug, etc.) Then retape it back up and you wont have all the a/c and power steering plugs cluttering up your engine bay. In order to run 2-3 vacuum lines, you have to remove your egr, and your charcoal canister. Use a line to go to the BOV, a line to go to the FPR, and then a line going to your brake booster. Just don't splice them all off each other. Put 4 bungs on your intake manifold (4 for in case I'm forgetting something, or if you want to add a pressure switch which can be wired to a relay to automatically shut off nitrous when boost is too high.) Any questions just respond, and I will try to remember to keep checking this.

Edit: thought I should mention that the Painless wiring kit is for Accessories, It sounds like I meant run it to the EMS

This is how its done. I'll be starting a thread on my build, (if anyone cares)

thanks guys this is perfect! throw a link in here whenever you start your thread!

best thing to do first is to take some obvious stuff off (like emissions crap) and power wash the engine compartment with MeanGreen or similar over and over. That alone, will make a big difference.

So basically just remove every single thing besides the brake components and lines, clutch reservoir, and shifter cables?

Take out what you dont need to go fast...If it makes the car run, keep it.....

Get rid of your windshield washer resivoir too.....

And yes to your question.

Ive been working on cleaning up my engine bay a bit in the last month. Ive tried to hide some wires and change things up a bit. What else do you guys think I could do to make things nicer than they are.

I need to know what else you think i should do. So far i want to polish the intake manifold some more, paint the timing cover and change the bracket for the fuse box.

Looks good, a couple things i can think of are, a aluminum radiator, some samco radiator hoses (silicone), maybe some cam gears, polish out the TB... cant think of much else.

It is hard to tell with your pictures but if the white paint in your engine bay is stained, you can use electrical cleaner in a rag to get rid of any really dirty spot. It will lift some paint if you really rub at it but it's not like carb cleaner. Give it a try if it's needed.
