ok i have an 02 with the 2.4. recently i had the CEL come on with code 0421
" catalyst system efficiency below threshold (bank1) ".
i tested the upstream by back probing and got a reading of .130-.890. I shot some propane in and it would steady out about .600 then go back to fluctuating.
tested the down stream and got reading's .052-.670 at idle it reads about .05-.156 i hit it with propane and it read about .680 then went back down to .150 with the propane still on.
now ive done a tune up looked at all vac lines. but im still not sure if my readings are good or not. or if it may be just the at that needs replaced. the car only has 82k on it. Its been takin care of.
oh all testing was done after a nice 30+ min drive
any help would be great thanx
