No emissions needed to get inspection. Do any of the sensors need to be capped?

Also, I am looking for a wiring diagram or illustration of how to hard wire the knock sensor to the harness. There was one in an old post from 09 but the images have since lost hosting or been deleted.

Thank you,

Should just pull them out. Make or buy an EGR block off plate. They don't need plugs though from all my research they just put pressure across the solenoid.

Thanks for the reply animal,

I do have an egr block off plate. I have been fighting with an idle issue for a couple weeks now. I believe I have it narrowed down to a few leaks and a bad MAF connector or harness short.

Boost leak tests are ongoing. Cant get it to hold any pressure, and currently have to hold my compressor hose to the valve stem to feed air in. Need a locking compressor attachment. So far, I know the throttle body shaft seals (on order) need to be replaced and the intake manifold gasket. I just cant believe it wont hold any air longer than a second or two. I do have my timing 30* after TDC, at least I think so, I don't have my timing cover so I had to use the 1/3 of 1/4 turn past TDC?

So frustrating...

If you have problems chasing the leak, then remove and cop all the vacuum hoses at the intake manifold, after you do that, do a boost leak, it should hold or at least you will be able to chase the leak if there is one, if you can't find a leak and it holds pressure, then start adding hose by hose and do a boost leak, do not put back all the vacuum hoses and do the boost leak, just add one or two at a time and do a boost leak, this way you will be able to chase the leak more easily.
