ok, i was removing my front 02 sensor today to replace it. i had to use a cheater bar to break the sensor lose, and i accedently it the power lead on the alternator and made it spark, it also sparked at the battery. and a few hours later i went to the car and found out that the power windows dont work anymore, the radio wont come on anymore, the power locks dont work anymore, and when i turn the headlights on my horn stays on and i cant shut the head lights back off. i have to undo the battery to turn the headlight off, if i turn them on. wtf could this be:hmm: its really got me stumped, i think i mayhave fryied the engine harness.

that sounds like one hell of a problem . Uhhh never ran into something like that really you might have short circuited something , check your fuses too just in case

start checking all your wire's and conection. also start checking all your grounds. also check your relays as well

I would check the power wires from the terminals to the distribution box. May have fried two of them together

I had a similar problems like this before. Did you check the alt choke fuse? My car did almost the same as yours, it turned out to be the factory alarm system went haywire. I didnt fixed the problem tho, a local dsm shop did for me.

same thing happened to me when i touched the alt by accident. It was just that one fuse and it fixed everything.
Good luck

And people give me shit for pulling the negative terminal every time I work on a car..

:rocks: :hellyeah:
Same here. Idk how many times my instructors tell me to always disconnect the negative battery cable when working on a car. If my mind serves me right, evey manual I have read mentions to do so in step #1, but who reads these days.

It's only given me issues once, when I was changing an O2 sensor on a car at the shop...DSMLink v2.5, what a pain in the ass..

thanks alot guys, just replaced the fuse and everything works again. as for pulling the negative termal, i usually do that but i didnt think about it this time since the alt has that little rubber peice covering the power lead, but it turns out that thing pops off really easy LOL.
