I have a 99 eclipse, i need to get my tabs so I need to pass emission, I had a 97 ecu in it which would not set any readiness monitors on.
I have purchased a 99 CA ecu, which I think has the speed limiter and throws cel light on faster then FED ecu's.
So far I have driven the car probably about 200-300 miles, I carried out the drive cycles and all the monitors set within the first 2 drive cycles, except the egr.
I have since driven it multiple times, freeway, city, restart car carry out sequence, normal drive etc etc make sure coolant temp above 186, try under 186, without any luck.
The computer is not giving any codes and the egr still does not set. Is that normal? What can I do to make it set? Does anyone have any suggestions beside "keep driving it" because its hard without tabs. Any tips? i would really appreciate it!!!! I wanna drive it already!!! Why! you green tree hugging herb growing emission nazis, why cant you just probe my PERFECTLY stock car and let me PAY for my tabs so I can DRIVE it!!!!

Okay here is why I love the eclipse, one day I take this car out on a nice day, out to a country, I drive alone until I come to a steep cliff overlooking an ocean 900 ft below. I get out, take my personals, have a little picnic on the hood of the car, tell it how much I appreciated it being in my life and how sometimes when you love something you must let it go, then right at sunset I would release the e brake, take it off gear, and gently push it down the slope and walk away from the sunset. Walking back in the middle of nowhere of course I would get picked up by the most hottest chocolate cream colored college girl, with a 10/10 body, 10/10 face, beautiful white perfect smile, radiant eyes, cutest voice, she would ask me what I am doing here and I would say "I was waiting for you, duh!
" and shed be like "haha
you're funny" and id be like "I already know that but its nice when someone intelligent also notices" and shed be like "wow, this is so random, I would have never thought of running across you today" id be like "yeah, me too but you never know, every day something new is bound to happen, things like that happen to me because of my ex friend" and shed be like "Ex friend, what happened?" " he died...." "Really?... thats so sad, lean over give me a hug" then after the nice 
hug she would say "what was his name" and I would say "Eclipse." So thank you eclipse, thank you so much for everything, I guess sometimes good comes out of bad, and great comes out of terrible, and I ended up with terrific girl which makes you a?..... monster, you beast, you abused cold blooded killer you, capable of breaking or making, you broke me... but ironically after that I broke you and you made me.

, they said for 99 you can have one readiness monitor missing, and 98 down you can have two missing and they will pass you
