ECUflash Ecuflash Startups and Cruise tuning Please HELP

hey guys

car 2.3 stroked 98 gsx

i have problem with warm startups after my PTE 1000cc instal

i have Dialed in injectors good cause my fuel trims are in the -+5 area

so when the car is warm i have to give it a lil throttle on startup and for like 1 sec i see black smoke from my exhaust meaning its rich on startups

without giving it a lil throttle it will start and not evan 1 sec it will die

and i would some info about MAF scaling and cruise tuning

There is a setting in Ecuflash for the injector spray duration on start up. I don't remember what its called right now though. Sorry. But you have to scale it down by the percentage that you increased your injectors size.

would that be under FUEL, coolant temp fuel enrichment? or maybe under Idle, TPS fuel adder? I dont know the answer to this but I am curious what the solution would be, i had FIC 950's that did the same thing, sold them put stock 450cc's on and have PTE1200 waiting to be installed.

I've never had a problem with startups. I run e85 also, I think your problems might lye elsewhere. I will search into it though as I've never adjusted it.

I changed Coolant Temp Fuel Enrichment table by -2

It made the startups better but it is still not like it used to be.

Can you guys help me with some other stuff in ecuflash ?

and another thing
i need to know how to change my fuel map since i have 2.3 and it sucks more air in and with this stock fuel map when im 1/3 throttle its hitting almost 10.5 afr cause my load is biger with 2.3

I wouldn't scale the maf for the 2.3L. I would actually correct the map.

Being a bit of a hypocrite. I'm on a 2.3 with a 99% stock tune(only changed last 3 columns to 10.5) with 1050 injectors. Only issue is the lack of air temp sensor in the gmail maf, so on colder days its dips and sputters lean (around 18.5 afr) for a few seconds when you release the throttle.

Whats your fuel trims ??
and whats your injector scaling and latency ??

I changed the last 4 columns per the "first setup" instructions to 10.5 so it's easier to dial in injector size at WOT. My 1050's are set as 1035. I'll have to check the latency. trims are within 3%

I also have a MAFT translator and it's set as close to 0 as possible, but not 100%

i have PTE maybe PTE has some problems witch startsups idk

my fuel trims are okay in -+5% range

I'm doing the same process right now, FIC 1050's, set to 1035 in ecuflash, tuned for idle, etc. I still need to tune for Cruise/Mid but this is what I found on ceddy's site:

Pretty much where they pulled the "How to" from for Ecuflash... haven't had a chance to tune cruise yet, but at least it says how.

Check your Front O2 sensor.....I had the same exact problem. After ED1380 (whats up buddy) put me on to Ceddy and the Tuning world. I haven't done anything else other than what's posted on the same "how to" thread you referenced. Mainly because for the life of me I couldn't figure out why my idle was at 12.9-11.4 for months, I did all kinds of boost leak tests until something told me to change the front O2 sensor now it idles at 13.8-14.3 (have a leak by the ISC O-Ring which is a major PITA!!) But good new is no more having to startup 2x sometimes 3x because it dies after initial start and I can finally start to really tune!

I'm a noob at tuning so I'm doing research now...I don't know what my next steps are after setting all my boost cells (after 100...using ceddy's big MAP ) to 10.5....need to know things like, what cells to change to get maximum tune and what not.

i have evoscan so my knock is 2 counts by 5400rpm and 255 load

what should i do now ?
