Hi guys,
Trying to figure out an issue I'm having at the moment, thought I'd see if anyone here had any pointers.
I've got a 1995 Mitsubishi Lancer GSR (4G93T) and I've just wired in an Evo VI ECU (MH7202F). The plugs are pretty much a direct swap over, and luckily my car came with an OBDII port already installed (but not wired in properly). I think I sorted out the OBDII wiring. From the OBDII port to the Evo VI ECU pins, i've got:
Pin 1 to pin 56
Pins 4 and 5 to ground at Pin 13.
Pin 7 to pin 62
Pin 16 is a 12V supply (was already wired in)
Pin 79 of the Evo VI ECU (Flash wire) goes to the OBDI socket (the reflashing socket)
The car starts and drives fine, the only problem I've encountered is that the Tacho drops to zero when the engine is not under load, apparently I have to disconnect the tacho pin to solve this issue.
My problem is that when I plug in my Tactrix 2.0 plug, I can't read the ECU. I select Evo 5/6, hit read from ECU, and get:
[18:12:39.011] using metadata XML ID read_evo5 from file C:/Program Files (x86)/OpenECU/EcuFlash/rommetadata/read templates/read_evo5.xml
[18:12:39.027] J2534 API Version: 04.04
[18:12:39.027] J2534 DLL Version: 1.01.4358 Oct 10 2014 03:49:00
[18:12:39.027] Device Firmware Version: 1.15.4363
[18:12:39.027] Device Serial Number: TAefRcRg
[18:12:41.946] sending init sequence 2
[18:12:43.956] interface close
I'm running ECUFlash 1.44.4355 on my Windows 8.1 Laptop. Using a genuine Tactrix 2.0 plug.
I've tried running ECU Unlocker while trying to read the ECU, made no difference.
I also get the same log results when I try and "read the ECU" without even plugging in the Tactrix cable... So I'm thinking it might be my wiring :/
Suggestions?
