Toronto,
Hey ok so here is the deal just about to finish up my 5-speed swap. I found a working ecu at a junk yard from a 1991 awd turbo 5-speed and it turns out to be an eprom to !! just wondering should i keep the auto ecu or swap this one in without changing the injectors and camshafts or it doesnt matter? auto cars had 390cc and 5-speed had 450cc.

Also what what benefit will i get from the 5-speed ecu ? im open to all ideas just wondering myself.

The primary reason that there was a different ECU for the 1G manual vs automatics are because of the injector, turbo, cam differences. Putting the manual ECU in before you install the 450cc injectors will cause the car to run lean with the stock 390cc injectors.

From what I have experianced and read, there really is no difference between the AT and MT ECUs. While it is true that the MT use 450cc and the AT use 390cc. The maps are often identical and the AT/390cc also run 43-48psi of fuel pressure, versus the MT/450cc at 31-36psi. In other words, there really is no difference, especially if you have some sort of fuel management.

It may take a while for the car to adjust with the AT ECU. If you plan on doing more mods later on, especially tuning, I would swap in the EPROM. I just did my Swap and I ordered an EPROM rebuilt unit for this reason.

I found a set of 450cc injectors can i just drop them in without changing the cams for now ? or would that just cause the car to run rich now.

You can, but you may want to consider doing one of the following:

MT FPR
AFC or other fuel control

With 390cc you should be ok for stock boost, especially on 13g. Anything higher (boost or turbo), you should consider at least 450cc and with that fuel control.
