ECMlink ECMLink V3 Beta Report

I have everything installed properly on my comp but when I try to connect to my car, It says port is in use my unknown app and will not connect.
Honestly, you'll probably get more response on this on our support forum. If you don't have an account, let me know.

That message does usually mean exactly what it says. That is, some other application has already grabbed the port the ECMLink application is trying to use. At least under Windows, that's usually something like a Palm pilot hot sync manager type app running in the background.

I finally heard back from this other guy on his weekend results. Apparently the original breakup related to GM MAF goofiness was cured as I mentioned before, but he still has a strange power loss that, so far, does not have any clear explanation.
OK, yet another update on this. We've finally gotten some logs from this car and his problem is completely different. From the logs, it appears he's just activating the NLTS function inadvertently. He'll need to disable that function (because he doesn't want to use it anyway) and retest. I strongly suspect he'll have no issues then.

Another guy posted up logs suggesting he might be experiencing the same problem John was, but looking at those we see no such indication. It appears he just wasn't on the throttle above his boost threshold and the car was accelerating slowly as a result. In the one log where he did stay in the throttle longer, boost built up by 5000 RPM and he was off on his way.

So we're back to only one person having an issue. And without logs of the recent passes, it's hard to confirm what's going on there.

This really illustrates why I normally don't bother posting about every single little thing that comes up until there's a confirmed issue. If people want to think we're being secretive, so be it. But the reality is we just don't have time to do a play by play on every single thing that comes up until we actually know there's a definite problem. FAR more often than not, problems like this have nothing to do with the ECU or our code.

So I'm dropping this for now until we actually identify a real issue. We'll keep working on it as more data is presented, but right now, I see nothing wrong.
