1) Install a MAP sensor and an AIT sensor
2) Upgrade ECMLink to S/D and configure it for the sensors
3) Drive around with the MAF while logging
4) Run logs thru a wizard
5) Save settings generated by wizard to ECU
6) Set maf type to S/D
Done
Pretty much as Hal said, but there are other wizards available for the dial in procedure. For example, we have one that helps adjust the VE table based on fuel trim, just as the MAF compensation wizard does. So even after you remove the mass air sensor, you'll still have some help getting it dialed in quick and easy like.Hal, what all is involved in making the switch over to SD? Has anyone done a writeup on it yet?

umm, because you cant read, you leave the MAF in while you make adjustemtns to SD,
then you remove it once it is calibrated
It's actually really nice to be able to switch from Maf to SD and back. This makes the tuning and analyzing a lot easier when you don't have to remove and install hard parts. You can drive in SD, stop, turn off the vehicle, then set the client for Maf, start the car, drive in Maf mode...or from Maf to SD.
Hey don't make rude posts, act like an adult.
Let me quote the guy up there so YOU can read (again, but properly this time). Then you will use comprehension skills to realize that he's suggesting that you leave the maf in and switch to it on a "whenever you feel like it" basis.
Let me reiterate that there IS NO reason to ever switch between the two air metering systems once your car is tuned for either. You will not wake up one morning and be like you know, i think i want to drive to work in maf mode...
Ahhh, gotcha... I think what you said might be confusing to some though because they may think that it's ok to do that in your car once it's tuned for sd... which I guess it is, if you want to hinder your airflow... but for beta testing I can see why you'd want the safety net.
Are there still no videos or logs of the sd setup? How does your car idle and do you have a fiav/isc installed?
Yes, they're permanently sealed and locked away, along with all of the 8, 9, and 10 second timeslips from Jackal users.Oh cool. So are there any logs/dyno sheets or videos showing how the speed density was a major improvement over mas?
