ecm link help...

i put the dsm link in my car the other day and it came from them with the base tuning for 750cc injectors witch i have in the car after i put in the chip the car dosent run -_- it will turn over and start for like a sec but wont stay runnin and when i hook up my computer to it, it says connection failed to find a working source somebody who knows there shit please help meee

Make sure you have the correct COM port configured.

it is possible to put the chip in the wrong way, make sure you have it in correct and that no pins are crooked or bent. also like stated before if you have any other questions just give them an email.

thanks every body for the advice but i allready did all of those things allready. the problem is dsmlink dosent like to answer emails im just sent another email 2sec ago and one last week im still waiting thats y i need help now the wiki is not enough and i know i need to use com port 4 so im kinda stuck

Check your fuses to make sure none are blown. Do you know if in fact your obd port works?

i checked all the fuses yesterday with a test light and they were all good and wht exactly is a obd port

Obd port is the port that you plug your ecmlink cable into.

To me it almost sounds like a drivers issue. What operating system are you running on the laptop your trying to connect to the car? When you connect the cable to the laptop is the laptop recognizing that there is a new device connected?

yea it recognizes it but it wont let me connect

sounds stupid, but do yo have your ignition to the on position?....i had the same problem when i first got my link...
