Eclipse to Talon Conversion Questions

Do you know the total amount of money spent on this? Just out of curiosity.

Also, where did you get that beautiful Eagle emblem at? Or did you make it?

I just got a big Eagle emblem from the JY a few days ago. It's going in the same exact spot you put yours.

The one on my center taillight? A guy was selling it on craigslist locally, he said it came off of an eagle vision so I ground down the mounting tabs and made it all flat and put some double sided mounting tape on it Not sure what the TSi emblem came off of either but I did the same with it. And money? Lets see.

Prices I paid including shipping:
Front bumper - $80
Rear Bumper and Spoiler - $300
3rd brake light - $20
Strakes - $50
Skirts - long pieces were super cheap, caps $30, and door pieces were $50
Headlights - $40 at the junkyard
Airbag & Taillights - Free
Turbo timer - $25
Tan cloth Seats and door panels - $30
Spark plug cover - $45 (I think I overpaid a lot but whatever)
Black and Tan interior - Free (I took it off my other GS-T )
Center taillight emblems - $5
Rear bumper emblems, center caps, triple gauge pod, and owner's manual - $40
So right now $715
Still need paint, GSX wheels, and a new front bumper emblem

Soon my friend, soon. I STILL have yet to hear from the insurance company about it!, its so stupid. I drove the Talon to school yesterday when I shut it "off" and walked away everyone was like dude you're car is tsill running! I said yeah thats kind of the point they were like what? I said turbo timer they were all like WTF I just and walked away. It felt so good to drive it again after it sitting for a month. It should be all done next week, minus the paint.

This and rims will be the only way to tell our cars apart. Unless you find a set. They're hella hard to find, let alone in good condition. Then you have to try to find brackets that aren't rusted to shit too.

I know finding 2GB Eclipse foglights with nonrusted brackets was hard enough, and I hate to say this but being a broke "almost college" student, I think I'm just gonna rattle can the car satin black fro the time being seeing as how I need new tires and still have to fix my wrecked RS (doing that as we speak)

Guys I got lucky.... Found the Twisty skirts, taillights, and low thumbnail spoiler on craigslist and picked them all up for $50 today!!! Now I just need the bumpers. Only thing is, the skirts didnt have the cups or the door pieces, just the two long twisty pieces with "16v dohc turbo" engraved in them
Oh and this is how it will look (I changed my mind on doing a Panda)

I actually have a grey airbag but Its cool bro . I need to finish putting the strakes and skirts on now, but today we dedicated to reviving the RS and it just needs the fron bumper to be painted and go back on

Schwebe: My Talon actually has a grey wheel and air bag. It is so dark, you can't even tell the difference in color. However, it used to have a black wheel with a grey airbag. Even with that, you can only tell the difference under direct sunlight or in a camera flash. You can see an example of black wheel/grey bag in my gallery pics. Havent uploaded one of my all grey wheel and airbag.

Hey now.... be nice I blacked out the amber section on my taillights today and I'm painting the "Talon" letters on the center section in red in a few days when the paint has hardened. That way I can differentiate our cars a little better, so I stopped "copying you". Is that better?!?!

Well do you have roll up windows and manual locks? If so that could be why. Because my RS had the grey interior stock with a black steering wheel and airbag, until I swapped the interior to the black and grey

That's the biggest copycat yet. I had that exact same thing done to my first Talon, circa 2005.

Are you sure it's black and not just dark gray? The gray is so dark you can barely tell it apart from black. With my black wheen and gray airbag, you could only tell under a camera flash.
