That's pretty cool don't forget to update with painted pictures. Also I love spyders with a clean 2gb talon conversion, its completely different and a rare sight

This is true. I know a guy with a damn clean 2Gb Talon swapped spyder. It's sexy as hell.

I am embarking on this journey too. I dont see any 2g talons, its all eclipses. These parts are hard to find but not impossible. I just got the full set of 2ga twisty sideskirts. Took nearly 2 months to piece together. The front 2gb bumper took some time to source also. Next is the 2gb rear and side strakes. I wont be pulling my eclipse highrise because i simply feel it just looks better.

but then the conversion won't be complete  Make sure you get a Talon owner's manual as well :thumb: LOL. Its been a wild ride trying to get everything but I enjoyed every step of it! Good luck on yours, its looking good so far! And that was the hardest part for mine was piecing together the twisties.

How are ya making out, Josh? Can't wait for some more updates and pics!

I haven't done anything more. :( I need money for tires, paint, and to fix my 3g rims which the guy swore up and down had zero bends :notgood: It is all finished minus those aspects and I love it. But I found out yesterday when buying some HIDs from a guy off craigslist that my spoiler is off :cry::cry::banghead: I couldn't believe it. But I mean I never had a visual representation to go by either. Its close enough for me and thats all that matters. I really can't wait to paint this thing, its just I can't do all that and still pay for college working at wal-mart.

The skirts are hard to find. That is why I ended up buying a 95 talon parts car with a rod though the block for 300.00 just wanted the skirts, tails, and EPROM for a spare out of it. Parted out the rest and made good money to get the rest of the parts for the Spyder in color matching ftw.

I am not a fan of the boomerang or the thumbnail. But thats just my opinion. My question is did you paint the roof black? That is what i am definetly goin to to after i piece everything together. I am gonna take apart my sunroof so they can even paint in there so it almost looks factory. Well i hope it at least does....

The car is going to be completely black. Seeing as how it was originally anyway and I really don't feel like doing a pro color change to white.

Oh god!!! I feel you!!! No funds for the car and it kills you to see you cannot finish her til the funds come in!!! >.<!!!!!

Youre so close to getting her back on track broseph!

That is going to be sexy as hell... All black Talon.... OMG! jizz...

Also Flat Black? Black on Black? What color do you plan to have her?

ive been kicking around the idea of molding a 2gb eclipse rear bumper top half to a 2gb talon lower half for my conversion. I love the eclipse tail lights more then the talon ones and talon and eclipse rear bumpers are easy enough to come by cheap so I think thats what im gonna do. Thoughts?

if you can pull it off nice and clean I think it'd look really nice to be honest! :thumb: I just realized its been almost a month since I updated this :ohdamn: I have money for the tires, just haven't bought them yet. and I'm going to plastidip my wheels and put some of that red pinstripe from autozone around the lip and clear over it (I've been told this works just fine and have seen it) Wayyyy cheaper than powdercoating them! Still desperately needs paint, and I still haven't filled in the old spoiler holes. I just don't have the the right now. But I need to hurry since Import Alliance is in 5 weeks and I plan on taking her there.

WOO!!!! After having the wheels sit in my garage for over a month I finally got the 3G GSX style wheels on the "Talon" with a set of brand new falkens and the eagle center caps. The car looks and rides so much better. Net paycheck I'm getting some black primer for the car and my HIDs will be in later this week. Its almost completed I'm so happy!!!

It's about time you give us an update. Oh, and those are 2G GSX wheels, not 3G wheels.

Corey do I have to hurt you bro??? LOL. Those are 3G Wheels. The 2G wheels have the spokes go all the way to edge and they have a polished lip, these bend in before they hit the edge of the rim. :p That is how you tell the difference

unfortunatly i have to wait a couple weeks for the bumper to come out of hold at the junkyard unless i find another. the way i have it pictured in my head it seems it will work out perfectly so i wont be updating in this thread for a little bit..

Update time! I did a brake job on it last Wednesday and Thursday night (new pads and rotors all around), Installed some 8000k HIDs from SharpHID tonight, I painted the calipers red, and took my extra gray backing tray (the piece that covers our trunk area) and dyed it tan, and put my little riding buddy on it! Heres the pic guys!

Looks like it coming along real nice. Keep it up!

Y u no paint it yet!?

y u no gimmie money? ROFL Its a matter of lack of money. LOL. My paycheck didn't come out to be as much as I'd hoped... I ordered my new Eagle badge for the front bumper tonight from JNZ. Expensive, but necessary, the one on there was beyond repair. :( Anyways, I'm picking up some flat black to make it all one color again and to give it an even surface to paint. It WILL be painted before the end of this month though, I gotta get it done for Import Alliance. Hopefully I'll have the AC fixed before then as well.
