I have a 1997 GST and i was driving it on the free way and i was on the off ramp and it overheated and died on me. So i parked it and let it cool down. it wouldn't start it kept cranking but would fire up. So i got a jump start it it fired up and i drove it to the mall and left it there too cool. I tried starting it up again and it fired up. I went back on the freeway back home and half way back it overheated again and this times white smoke came from the exhaust and from the timing belt area. I let it cool down and someone tried to give me a jump and nothing wouldn't start it cranks but doesn't fire up. I ended up towing it home. It still doesn't want to fire up i change:
-spark plugs (and gaped them)
-spark plug wires
-ignition coil
-battery
i also tried swapping the ecu.
i don't know what it is could it be a blown head gasket but if it was wouldn't it start up anyway?
it cranks and all electronics work lights stereo everything.
i need help
