I'll probably get alot of crap for posting this, but so be it...

All I have been doing for the last 9 months is looking for a 2G Eclipse GSX forsale. Now, if you all haven't seen my current posts, a 14 year old, can't get "that modded GSX down the street", ok?

Now, my state in which I live, has next to nothing for reasonable 2G GSXs or any 2G Eclipses for the matter...

Now that I have stated a few things here is my main question:

Why isn't there a DECENT 2G Eclipse GSX forsale anywhere? I don't know a sane parent of a 14 year old willing to pay 8K for a 14-10 years old, with 1xx,xxx miles and some with 2xx,xxx miles. This is KIND of a rant but I mean, come on... Anyway, this will get interesting I bet...:banghead:

Be blessed.

my first car was my first dsm, a POS white auto fwd tsi. my best friend owned it and i saved that car. fixed it up loved it for the time i had it. i painted it and sold it for 2.2k and about 5 hours of searching near me i found my gsx in ohio for 4750, the car was not worth it with the problems it had, but i wanted and needed a car asap. just gotta look harder, or drive 4 hours like i did. :D

They are not hard to find, but ones in good condition are hard to find and worth the money. I actually have mine for sale for 13k, no rust and modded to hell. I have a few people that want it lined up.

Jan 27 - 95 Eagle talon tsi/gsx - $4500 - (your girlfriends garage) pic <<cars & trucks - by owner

This made me LOL

There is a 96GSX for sale in wadena right now on craigslist.
96 eclipse GSX

PS...MN DSM'ers post on mitsustyle.com as well so if your not already on it get on it.

That isn't a bad deal if you got the 2GB conversion kit he has and come to find out the cut @ 4500 is fuel cut cause he is over boosting which could be easily fixed. :p

As rare as they may be I am having a terrible time getting rid of mine... granted it is automatic, heavily modded and the paint is faded.:ohdamn:

Would it be worth it with the 6bolt? Because I have always thought the 7bolt was better....

I seriously can't believe I didn't see the add for the GSX in my town earlier... WOW am I ticked.. That is about... the second GSX to EVER be in my town (as long as I've lived)... And I was born in'95 so.. LOL

They are very hard to sell at higher prices. Seems to me that people like the 1-2K shat boxes that need work....

It looks like a great deal man! might need a tune though. If you end up getting it I'd be happy to get it tuned for you.

these cars are hard to find because people always part them out to not spend the few 100 bucks to fix it which i think is dumb. thats why every year dsm's are hard to come by because they are no longer in one piece. but ya good luck finding one out there. their are a bunch for sale in the chicago land area!!

I'm 19 and i think it depends on the person.
My first car was a 97 gs when i was 13, i put all the bolt ons available bolt ons my self, drive it for almost a year and then i sold it and bought a 98 gst mod the heck of of it with a 20g and aem ems, then sold it when i was almost 16 for traction problems.

Then i was looking for a gsx or tsi awd that i never found so i decided to buy a 96 tsi when i was 16 1/2, put a gt3582 for the theory of bigger turbos on fwd, and dsmlink and learned how to tune it myself and then a sold it for a very good price a year later.

when i was 17 almost 18 i bought a 96 gst from a local dsmer, build it for just 300whp with a evo 3 16g and dsmlink for not to much traction problem but still. hoping to find a gsx and keep the gst for a DD.

less than a year ago i finally found a 99 gsx shell for sale at Lake Charles Louisiana that his owner spent almost 40k on it and cranwalks, i bought it for 2k with 18s, tein coilover, apexi exhaust and a bunch of performance parts not related to the motor or tranny, like brembo brakes and fuel upgrades. then i came back to lousiana for his built stage 3 tre tranny, built head and a 6 bolt block for 3.5k and now im happy with and awd hoping to be on the 10s soon. still under contruction doing a wire tuck and other stuff.

The point is that i never crash any of those cars or even near an accident for my fault. in the other hand i suffer a accident with my dads car "a 2006 gto with him driving. LOL

keep in mind that from 14 from now i work for my own shit, im not gonna lie that my dad helps me building my car, but just in Christmas or my birthday.

I started to like dsms when i was 11, my dad was mad because he always own muscles like 69 gto's and he built those cars himself, i tried to be like him but i a different way.LOL
he accepts that i like dsm, even thoght i didnt know what was that at that moment, so he helps me understand how an engine works and things about turbos and that stuff when i was just 11 and 12 "he was learning about dsms at the same time". LOL
i never took my cars to a mechanic always fixed my cars by myself, even thought at the beginning i couldn't lose a bolt.LOL

Again the point of all this is that if you behave on the streets, and respect all the laws you will be fine.

sorry for the thread jack.
