ebay pistons?!?

Has anyone used the piston, ring, and bearing sets off ebay? Any feedback? They claim theyre npr pistons with king bearings, all for $140 shipped. Seems fishy to me, considering oem rings from extreme psi are $170 before shipping!

I'm using the topline kit in my car pistons rings, bearings water + oil pump etc. only thing I has fail was the timing belt. Which failed after I installed some evo cams. So I don't know if thats related out not. I stripped the teeth of it.
Every other part I have used from the kit is working great at around 15k miles.

I have used the NPR pistons as well, Granted im a no-body. but they have lasted on 2 different engines, seeing 25+ of boost.

Parts are parts....just buy the good ones and leave the junk alone.


And you'll need a 2G intake manifold for a 2g head.

Ok one question kind of off topic. So im running a 1g intake mani on a 2g head. Assuming the previous owner didnt, should i port match the mani to the head?

You could always go with an Evo III intake mani. I used one on my 2g head with a 1g throttle body and its been great. They aren't super expensive and Im sure you can find one in the classifieds.

Ill probly just run it for now. It worked fine. My car saw 25 lbs a couple of times(accidently) with no issues. Specially since i NEED an exhaust mani. Mine broke on the #3 runner right at the flange

I was reading on talk that a few people are running the NPR pistons trapping 125-130+ no problems what so ever. I am building a very mild 2g auto GSX 6 bolt so these will be absolutely perfect for me. $80 - $90 shipped
