I know I will get aot of greif from most of you all but the kit I was going to buy was sold.. was a gt35 setup... has anyone had any experiance with any of these kits by chance?

Im new to the DSM cars and turbos for that matter. Im not asking for a setup from top to bottom but a few suggestions would be nice if these are crap.
my budget is about 1500.. I have the fuel injectors and exaust full run no cat... looking at wanting to push about 25-30 psi max and looking at about 400-500hp 600 max..... have a internal wg now but thinking external as i heard they are better for boost creep... I will be rebuilding the motor from stock internals to upgrades... just not sure about the whole turbo choices.. I have done alot of research and still am.. Just figured I might post on here as well for a few suggestion from those that know what they are talking about.
 
O ok. You know you find a great setup on the classified for under 1200 most likely......

aye been looking there.. found one full setup for 1500 but it got sold before i could get the money together... he had the turbo, manifold, wg, downpipe.. fmic... ext.

thats why i was actually looking at the ebay ones... it has the full setup for the most part.. but i know you get what you pay for and i want this to last more than just a few runs..LOL
 
is this for the 420a or 4g63?

either way turbo will crap out on you, the bov and wastegate will leak. fpr will ruin your motor. hose couplers will turn stiff in a year. gauges wont be accurate.

a setup with real parts can be had around the same price. nothing wrong with buying used.

sorry 4g63 is the motor 7 bolt.. i now 6 bolt would be better do to the crankwalk issue with 7 but ill stick with the 7 for a bit :) the fp3065 will ruin the motor?? or the fp series itself... iv heard good and bad...

or do you mean the fuel pressure reg.??

I'm almost positive he meant the fuel pressure regulator.
 
Have you covered all your supporting mods and maintenance first ? Second like everyone else I will say that cheap eBay turbos are more trouble than they are worth. I have personally seen a handful of them shell out and litter the entire intercooler system with shrapnel and up into the motor. I have posted the link in a few other threads today but here it is again, This is the proven build path for a 2g that will get you where you want to be.

So what is everyones thought on this.. fp3065 set up on a 4g63 motor 7 bolt... 650cc injectors for now soon will be the 1050's.. 255 wal fp... 272 cams... and eagle rods with wiseco pistons standard 85mm bore but 9:1 compresstion.. 3" full hks exaust no cat...

Should work out pretty good aye??
 
will be tuning with ecmlink v3 with eprom ecu.. or evoscan...

since when did they put tuning into evoscans software? last i checked it was just a logger. for use in combo with a SAFC or chip.

i've been running an ebay "evo 3 16g" for over a year now. no problems and no play at all in the turbo. its a hit or miss situation. some you get are good, some you get aren't. its been beat to death on this forum honestly.

Corret me if im wrong... but you can still tune by flashing the ecu with evoscan and using a SAFC... sorry didnt mention the SAFC as I figured thats just common sense those two would go hand in hand.... just cant do as much and in greater detail as with the link?? Im still aiming more to the link...
