EBAY BS Eliminator Kits??

This site may earn a commission from merchant affiliate links, including eBay, Amazon, and others.

I would not trust something that is a primary function of you motor ethier internal (pistons, crank etc) or external (belts, radiator etc) cause you pay cheap to get low quality parts, but mainly its ebay all of the stuff on their is crap more crap and crap that is all that is on there.

go oem,
its the only way to go.

the oem stubby is only 12 bucks.
if you want to stay cheap than just leave your front shaft in, and delete the belt.

there you are 12 bucks plus the cost of a gasket and you have an oem balance shaft elimination,

if i want to do this right and not ebay the parts then, do i just buy the stubby shaft and the stock balance shaft bearings and just rotate them to blockoff the oil hole then?

thanks guys

I have that kit and so do 4 others here that I know, one with a 2.4L two with a 2.3L and one with a 2.0L. One of them dyno's 490hp and no problems. If you guys don't have experience with these parts please don't blurt dumb crap out :nono: . The quality on these are top notch it's pretty hard to mess up something like a bs eliminating kit. If I had to do it again I would get the same kit and so would the other 4 guys running it.

i've seen with my own eyes some of the ebay b/s kits. Most are not machined to the same tolerances, nor made of the same quality materials that the oem mirage pieces are.

the key here however, is to make sure your kit has the oiling groove.

most of the ebay kits do not have the groove. without the groove you risk premature pump failure because its going to allow more wear on the pump casing itself.

and again as i said... oem mistubishi parts are 12 bucks...

so what if some people have had luck for years with ebay kits.
whats the point for such a tiny amount of savings...

also the oem front shaft plug will fit right the first time, no risk of cracking yoru case when you install it, no need for jbweld, and no worries of leaks down the road.
