ebay exhaust systems?

Just finished installing my 3" catback. I have the same one from the japanimport place. I bolted mostly right up, only problem was the one hanger right before the axle. I had to disconnect it on mine to get it to bolt right up to the last section. It doesn't wobble or anything so that was fine. It looks really nice on there!! The tip is a little big for my liking, but thought it looked better than i expected. it slants a little out to the left side. The sound i was very impressed with. At idle it has a pretty quite sound but still a nice low rumble. When you step on it it really opens up and has a great tone. This is all of course with the silencer out. It does get a little loud when just driving at like 3.5-4k rpm's but thats ok with me. It does not sound ricey at all!!! Has a great overall tone and i highly recommend it for the price and sound and pretty east install. I will post a couple pic's of the finished install when i get a chance. Maybe some other ones of these the one hanger is correct but this one was a little messed up. The rest of hangers bolted right up easily though so that was good.

Hey no problem. One of the hangers didn't seem to be in the correct place. I just didn't connect it. For me it was the hanger closest to the exhaust tip. Still seemed to hold nice and tight even with that one not attached. Fitting the exhaust is pretty tight, really just fits in a bunch of places. Once in a while the piping hits in one place on mine giving a little rattle. That is probably cause of the one hanger i didn't attach. I am just going to put some non flamable material in between the piping and the underside of the car there so it doesn't rattle.

Very impressed with how it sounds. I'm thinking about replacing my 3" system with a newer one. What downpipe did you match to it?

Hey just catback as of yet. I'm going to be putting one of the ebay downpipes on. I'm going to just take it to a shop since i need to have a catalytic converter where i am for emissions. I am going to weld up a 2.5"" high flow cat onto one of those downpipes. The flange on the catback is 2.5" so would have to cut that off also to go with a 3" cat and downpipe. So i have read that a 2.5" to 3" catback should be plenty good for the hp numbers i am looking to achieve.

Cool...keep us posted on which dp you choose and how it mates up. I'd like to buy both at the same time. Amazing that comparable brand name kits cost upwards of 500 for this. Just goes to show that ebay can serve up good deals AND quality on relatively low tech items such as these and fmic's.

I'll be matching this up to an EBAY 3 INCH DOWNPIPE as well, It's full stainless steel.. My 3 Inch downpipe by passed the catalytic converter, but emissions is not needed here in Hawaii... so I haven't gotten a high-flow cat yet.. I WILL TAKE SOME DETAILED PICS OF THE INSTALL, as well as any trouble I run into on the install. I just hope it gets here soon! LOL, can't wait! My car has been sitting ### I sold my other exhaust system, and I am just too nice to NOT run around straight downpipe.. LOL.. its freakin loud.. feels crazy though...and sounds crazy too, you can hear the exhaust turbine noise like crazy... Oh yeah, I hope this new exhaust system fits well with the blitz rear bumper that I'm putting on....LOL

Yeah this is the japanimportshop one. It bolted up nice. All the hangers seemed good on mine except the one closest to the axle. I left that one disconnected. Still is very tight and no wobble or anything.

Yesterday I ran into a 3G eclipse with this same kit or a N1. It also sounded like this, but was your typical n/a 3G turd. So let me get this straight...the resonator artificially creates that sound and it is not engine? Because my current 3" exhaust does not resonate and sounds all engine right now which I like, as it sounds more like a v8 rumble. This is giving me second thoughts.

Hi, I asked them if it was a true 3 inch, they say that it necks down to "2.85 inches" LOL... I just went ahead and ordered it, since I am in hawaii, they raped me on shipping, even though its still the same price to ship.. but oh well.. 258 shipped.. still not here yet.. they supposedly shipped it on the 21st... usps... priority mail... wow, since it goes over the axle, that means I can fit a lower tie bar then... ???

I just got mine earlier today, and I just finished installing it! Everything fit! all the welded hangars on the exhaust bolted right onto my existing rubber hangars... this exhaust sounds awesome! I have a full 3 inch downpipe eliminated catylitic converter, tubular o2 housing and this exhaust, IT is so quiet!!! You don't even need the silencer that it comes with! I recommend this! it gives you such great ground clearance too compared tomy old Xtune one! Also, I now have room for my rear lower tie bar!! here are some pictures...

If I was a speed or performance shop, I would deffinately bring these in to my shop.. I am sure they are making mad profit from these exhaust systems too! The workmanship s far as welds and bends are great! I have no regrets in purchasing this system... 258 shipped to hawaii was a good deal!
