Ok so I have spent a lot of time researching this product so please don't flame me, I even used the search bar lots and google and read up on many other forums. I just have a simple question.
Do the ebay cop setups work, now I'm not asking will it work with out an arc2 or msd cdi, I just want to know if they are functional. I do plan on purchasing a arc 2 soon, but for now it will be hooked up with out one.
Please note I do not bag my talon, its my dd and is beyond well maintained, she still has the plastic bov cap, that's how untouched this car is. I am choosing to do this mod for a few reasons, I want to widen my plug gap ( I know I will need the arc 2 to achieve that ), I would like it to be a smoother idle and cruising car, and hey can't blame me for wanting my motor to look a little flashy.
If you need a link showing the kit I purchased I can add it in I am just a little Leary because the cheapest brand name cop setup I can find is $315 and I cannot justify spending that much on coils for the mods I currently have done... None..
Thanks for reading and I hope to get better responds then " put your money in better places " the only other mods I even look into getting in the future is hard intercooler piping for the stock side mount, and a 2g mas and intake tube. Other then that she will not be getting modded at all.

seriousely trhough, there should have been a wire to the white tach wire when you started, leave that same wire hooked up, or if you have the extra little box that came on the 90 model that is a tach adapter reading off the negative signal of the coils then you can leave the white wirte alone. i wasn't trying to discourage, and yes you can change the dwell slightly with AEM, DSMlink and other ECU's, but when in waste spark you only have so much time to work wit. However, if you went with sequential yuou'd be able to almost double the effective charge time of the coils as each would only fire on compression stroke, and not on the exhaust stroke 180* from when it's truely needed allowing more time to charge up for the next spark event..you will be fine honestly, just trying to spread good info that can be well understood, and by no means trying to discount, knock or pick at your modding (hell i love the look of COP setups
