Anyone else gotten the auto torque converter pilot/spacer to fit in the end of an Eagle crank?

#@%&(!$^*)

After careful cleanup on both the crank and outer surface of the bearing, and a light coat of oil, my BFH is unable to persuade the pilot to go more than 1/4 of the way into the end of the crank!

Looks like I'll have to get a bit removed from the outer surface of the pilot!

#### that pilot bearing man, I'd be almost certain in needs pressed in by a machine. Hopefully someone on here can help you out but you'd probably get your best answer by contacting a reputable DSM shop running a A/T drag car. English Racing, for example, could probably answer that question with a quick phone call.

In case anyone else runs into this challenge:

I pointed my space heater towards the end of the crank for a couple of hours, bought a chunk of dry-ice and super cooled the pilot bushing. The block/crank was almost 100 degrees when I tried again. A few taps from my BFH prevailed; the pilot is now seated nicely.
