hi my e brake has no tension until you pull it way up. is it just the cable or what? and how much would it be to fix?

More than likely its the cable, or just worn out shoes in the rear. Try tightening the cable first then go from there.

... to tighten the cable you have to pull the center console section up and you'll see a bar the ebrake pivots on and pulls up on a cable... theres a adjustment nut on there and by moving it one way or another you can adjust the throw on the e brake. pic below (its a 1g but its the same concept) showing you what it looks like...

hahaha ROFL good call. id feel bad if he had ripped out half his interior getting to that ebrake! JUST THE ARM REST SECTION OF THE CENTER CONSOLE NEEDS TO BE REMOVED! don't rip out your dash board and gauges...

HAHA yeah man, i just didnt want him to freak out thinkin he had to rip half of his interior out to get to it.

OP, i circled right about where the cable adjustment is on the cable. There will be 2 cables that attach to a "t" and have nuts to adjust the tension.
