More than likely its the cable, or just worn out shoes in the rear. Try tightening the cable first then go from there.

hahahagood call. id feel bad if he had ripped out half his interior getting to that ebrake! JUST THE ARM REST SECTION OF THE CENTER CONSOLE NEEDS TO BE REMOVED! don't rip out your dash board and gauges...
I think I can reach that by just pulling my cup holder out.
