Ok i been reading and i tighten my ebrake as far as it will go at the handle and it barley stops the car on a slope i can put it in gear and it will not hold do you think my disc brake pads are worn on the back?:hmm:

As above!! Have you recently changed them or is it just started to do this? And do you do e-brake turns? As its not designed for that!!!

First check the condition of the shoes inside! Then with the disc over it tighten it all the way then I think its back 2-3 notches or as close to them as possible with the disc able to move freely with minimal friction (this is on new UN bedded shoes of course)

Mine is also on the loose side but Ive not re adjusted like I was suppose to after there worn in! Ooops

Also check your cable under your center arm rest and cup holder to see if the wire is not broken or anything,

Remember. He said disk breaks.

But yes. Check for slack at the rotor. Tighten the adjusting screw. And while your there, inspect the disk break pads as well. Change them if your within an 1/8 inch to metal. Hopefully your not that close though.

he did mention them but the disc brakes ( you spelt disc brakes wrong btw) is not what holds the car when the e-brake is pulled! He is under the assumption it is and does not know there is an inner shoe for the e-brake operation

the pads on the out side dont stop or hold the car on a hill unless its a hydro setup, there for he needs to check the inner shoes as thats the issue he is having with rolling

Ok thank's i didn't know there was a adjustment at the pads and i have not check the pads just got the car and havn't got to check them yet with all that is wrong with the car. Is the adjustment at the brake pads? If so is it a screw like at the ebrake? I really appreciate all the replys and to there wasn't anything i found and read about adjusting the e brake thank's again.:thumb:

Yes i did spell it wrong. Thanks for the correction.

Yes there should be an adjusting screw where your e brake cable goes to you back breaks. And pull off the rotor and check in shoes and rotor/drum as well.

Glad some one posted something about this because i am also having trouble with my e brake. It don't even wanna hold the car at all so i don't know if its worn or something broke or if it needs adjusted.

I agree i look every where and couldn't find anything about this, at least now there is something about it. Thank's alot guy's for the help:thumb:
