In need of desperate help here guys.

1990 eagle talon

I installed the arc2 box per the old threads i found.

Removed the tacho interface from the coil and wired into the arc side of things.

From coil to arc2 red to blue
white to white
black to black

From body to arc2

yellow green to blue/black----------red wire from tacho
yellow black to white/black----------white wire from tacho
black/white to orange
Yellow (tacho) to white

So at first i had no spark to cylinder 1 and 4 and ONLY had it to 2 and 3. Now i dont have spark to any of the cylinders.

This is a brand new Arc2 box

All help is appreciated ahead of time.

I know your running stock coils, they are wired the same way though just no jumper between the individual coils is all.

White wire to one coil, blue wire to the other coil, leave the +12v going to the coils alone from the factory, then black with blue is one trigger from the power transistor and black with white wire is the other, then a power wire and a ground wire to the cdi box and it should work.

i have it wired like this. does this mean theres a issue elsewere?

The power wire that goes to coils from body factory harness is a larger black and white wire which is hooked up to orange of dynatek box. You kind of lost me there.
That wire just supplies the box with 12v with the key on, make sure that 12v is there with a volt meter when key is on, make sure the box has a good ground.

From arc 2 box i have white. Blue. And solid black. I have blue to red of coil. White to white of coil.
Solid black of arc2 to black white of coil.

I can go out and look at that car when the sun is up and weather will be warmer tomorrow. I had to follow the thread from dsmtalk and pay attention to the wiring, plugged in and it fired right up.

I dont have a 90' schematic in front of me, having the red and black to the battery is fine for now but you will need to be able to switch it with the ignition switch eventually or it will run your battery down, no you dont have to ground the cdi box, your ignition coils from the factory had a wire that supplied +12v to one side of the coils, you need this +12v to remain untouched to the coils, if you disconnected that, put it back, if your not sure then probe your original wires to your coils with the Arc2 unplugged and with the key on, one of them should be +12v, when you find it, put it back to the factory coil wire that it went to.

Yes please let me know. Like i stated in the OP i followed those 2 threads. The body connector has white, yellow/black, yellow/green and black/white. From the body connector i am NOT running any wires to the coils.

Ok i will try that. Will i only have 1 wire with 12v and key on coming out of body connector? If so by chance do you know what color wire it goes to on coil itself? Also. If my wiring is incorrect why do i have power to 1 coil? Youd think both coils would be dead.

Only one wire with switched 12v yes, don't know the color since I don't own a 90' anymore, you could have had the system drawing power from another source possibly back drawing from the Arc2 somewhere, allowing power for a second, not sure without knowing everything thats going on here with the wiring and what could have been damaged, you could have easily smoked a single channel on either the Arc2 or power transistor.

Ok so i think that wire is black with white stripe coming out of body harness which is attatched to orange wire going to arc2.
Now are you saying black/white, orange and coil power should be joined?

So i triple checked my wiring its all wired correct.

I still only have spark on the coil for cylinder 2&3.

1&4 coil is dead.

So i removed coil and flipped the wiring on the coils. And now my 1&4 coil has spark but 2&3 is dead. So i know my coil can produce spark. I cant wrap my head around all this. Since the coils are tied together via ground. So can it be a bad coil?

Here is some pictures. The top wires are white on left coil and red on right coil.

And bottom wires are black. Notice how they are sharing same ground.

So can it be a coil issue or am i looking at a dynatek issue.

NOTE: Vehicle has been sitting for a couple years and just finished up a auto swap. All my voltages coming out of body harness are correct. Thanks guys
