Ok guys I have been doing alot of research and I'm going to run the MAP sensor mod on my 1G. I just got my SAFCII and I haven't installed it yet . (i'm installing the 550's, 190 pump and rewire, 2G MAF, GM 3 bar MAP, and SAFCII all at once.) I'm wondering if the SAFCII with the MAP input will work with my dual stage dejon MBC? For example can I set two different "modes" in the SAFCII? Set one mode for normal driving with low boost (10psi) and another mode for the track running higher boost (16-18psi)? Only reason I ask is that if the SAFCII only has one "mode" then how will my SAFCII react to my Dual stage MBC?? I know there are some DSMers out there who swear by the map sensor mod. Please help me figure this one out.

Well the MAP signal is sent to your SAFCII as a TPS signal. If you have a 3 bar MAP you can set you low boost on your profec @ 10 psi, do a hard third gear pull, and watch on your AFC look for the max TPS % is, then add a couple of percentages for weather conditions. Set the throttle point for the low map at the max TPS % value @ 10 psi. Then use the high map for any TPS % over 10 psi. This will allow you to have two maps for your low and high boost. Let me know if you have any questions.

I wouldn't suggest doing this. The whole point of the MAP sensor mod is so that you have a dynamic fuel map that changes with load; setting it up like the person above me suggested removes the utility.

I also see no reason to run 10 psi....

I agree with you KPT4321, I just wanted the ability to lower my boost for other drivers or to save gas. I guess it's not THAT important to me but now I feel like I wasted my $$$ on a dual stage boost controller. The MAP mod should improve my gas milage AND also improve my partial throttle response/turbo lag. Back to my question, how long does the SAFC take to relearn 100% throttle position? I know that if I go from a low boost to a high boost it sets that new PSI reading to 100% instantly, but what about going from high to low? I see going from a high boost to a low boost the only thing causing me a problem. Any thoughts on that?

I agree, that is why I don't run my car like the above purposed setup, but Biggsie wants to run two fuel maps for different boost levels, I believe this is the only setup were he can accomplish his goals. Come to think about, you can save two different complete (low/high) fuel maps in the SAFC II, so tune both low/high maps using your MAP sensor @ 10psi save it. Then turn the boost up to 18psi, retune on both maps and save. So when other people are driving it, make sure the 10psi map is on, then when you drive it, load the other saved fuel map. That is another option I never thought of. Lates...

BINGO! That is exactly what I was looking for. I'm new to the SAFCII and I didn't know if I could have two different maps saved and switch between them. I read the manual a couple times and found nothing about saving or switching between saved maps. Awesome! Thanks alot guys I appreciate all the help. I'll be sure to let you all know how it comes out.
