So I have a dilemma guys and I need your help.
I have a dyno appointment next month and the there is a option for a dual map tune. The car is at this moment tuned for C12 which is just annoying since its expensive and I want to drive it more. Was thinking of doing a 91 octane and E85 dual map tune as its easy to get either one and relatively cheap compared to C12. The car has 1000cc injectors and according to various online calculators with my current injector size I can't really get more hp out of E85 vs 91 octane. So if I am doing it right then my goal of 500hp with 80% duty cycle with 91 octane I need 1000cc injectors were with E85 I need 1300cc injectors. So would it be beneficial for me to get the dual tune with e85 with my current 1000cc or would I just be wasting my money?
Motor is a built 6 bolt with gtx3076r turbo, my profile is up to date. Please let me know what you guys think.

Your profile is actually non-existent since we switched over to the new forum. Go to Showcase > Your Items to create a profile for your car.

Your math on the injector size is a bit off. For 500hp on E85, you'd actually need 1600cc injectors.

What are you tuning with?

I would say you'd be wasting your money if you tried to get a dual tune with one meant for E85 as you'd be very limited by your 1000cc injectors at this time.

I have an AEM. I don't think these have "dual" mapping capabilities. You can make many tuning maps but you need to connect to your laptop to load them. If I was doing this I would modify my fuel system so it could support the fuel with the greatest demand, E85 in this case, and create separate maps for each of the different fuels. Something to note though, you will need to run to empty every time you choose to switch fuels (or drain your tank). You could get into tuning troubles & also have driveability issues when filling up to switch fuels. Pouring in a half tank of pump into a half filled tank of E85 will put you into an in between tuning state.

There new Infinity "stand-alone" does flex fuel compensation but their EMS do not. The EMS is their "plug 'n play". The Infinity has to be wired up. There's probably jumper harnesses being made for some of the more popular platforms though.

With the AEM V2 you can actually run a flex fuel sensor so no need to drain the tank. So I guess my limiting factor is the size of my injectors, and since I can get close to 500hp on pump gas I should just stick with the single tune and save my money for 2000cc injectors. I guess this is why everybody always recommends to get the biggest injectors you can. Thanks for all your replies guys
