ECMlink Simple MAP Sensor Question

I'm going to buy an AEM Digital boost gauge (35psi one) and they come with the boost sensor, I was wondering if I could use the 0-5v analog wire and log it in ecmlink like a map sensor from the MDP spot on the ecu, similar to how my wideband is wired. Also, if this will work, I wanted to do SD down the road and I was going to use ecmlink's kit and the plug and play harness they sell as well. I wasn't sure if I would have issues? Sorry, it seems simple but I wasn't sure.

On a side note, which pin do you guys wire your widebands to? I did mine for my 2g on the rear o2 and 1g's don't have them.

Yes, you can use it to log boost, but I read over on the link forums that one user got direct advice from AEM NOT to use the same signal to run SD. Also, on a 1G you can use the EGR Temp, or Baro input for the sensor.
 
Yes, I contacted AEM and the signal is no good for SD after its been processed through the gauge.

For speed density, use the silver sensor and not the brass sensor.
 
Here is what Tom from ECMTuning said when I asked.
It may be possible to use the AEM sensor for SD operation too, though. You just have to manually define that sensor's mapping for SD operation (separate from logging/display) using the "user defined" option in the ECU Inputs tab for the MAP sensor. It's a bit more work, though. And you'll need to make *sure* the AEM sensor is providing an absolute pressure reading instead of gauge pressure.
 
That's what the AEM tech told me. There is a reason the brass and silver sensors are about $80 apart. The silver more accurate and the specs can be found on their site.
