Like I said, you'll need knowledge of the particular vehicles programming.Meaning, you'll have to know the memory locations and the bin/hex values for the various mnemonics.For GMs or Hondas this shouldn't be hard to find, since they've been hacking the code for quite some time.The interface between the hardware and software is very simple, so if ECU-Edit catches on(and I'm sure it will), you'll will see shareware versions for other-than-DSM vehicles.
 
That information is not avaliable for Hondas, but it might be for GM's.

Are you saying you'll basically have to write the program yourself? The format of the fuel maps, the format of the timing maps, the format of the rev limiter, the format of the njector compensation, etc.... it's different on different cars. As such, I don't see how you could use the same program on a DSM and a Honda, short of changing 95% of the code.
 
Its not the same program, there is a DSM version and a universal version.The universal program requires knowledge of the vehicles programming.The universal is not too much more than a hardware emulator.
