So I just picked up a 1g white eclipse with some old rotas(don't know which kind) on it... I want to redo the exterior of the car with some upgrades so it sticks out of the crowd of dsms in my area. I've already got my eye on a CF hood on craigslist, but I also think I want to get lug nuts for the rims so they look a little snazzier too. To me, Drop Engineering's closed ended lug nuts are the best option because of the price ($58) and how shiny and bright they are.. not to mention that they have both common sizes (M12x1.25 and M12x1.5) so they'll basically fit on most cars. Problem is... i can't decide which color is going to look best on the 1g. I'm almost sure i'm going to go with the red ones, but the purple are kind of tempting too... what are your opinions??

We have no clue what color your rims are. And second, you want to "stand out" and your idea is colored lugs? A lot of thought and effort went into this decision. You dont you invest your $85 into a intake? Or a Cat-Back for another $20.

I however like.....Purple

^^ noted. Either way, this is honestly just a useless thread. I mean, who cant make up their mind about lugs? And what a waste of money... hell spend the $85 on a huge vinyl sticker of a 8===D, that will separate you from the others.

Dude, it YOUR car, pick the color YOU like best. You don't have to please anyone but yourself.

After a couple times from taking them off your wheels, the color is gonna get all messed up anyways.

Those are the same lugnuts you can get at autozone for $25 bucks, but in a different color

I have to agree with cookmeup272 I bought those same da^n lug nuts for my car at autozone for 25$, but they where silver.

Can anyone inform me what's wrong with the stock ones?
Why don't you just use air craft remover and then paint your stockers?

Everyone needs to stop bashing the member. Yeah it may be a question that holds no value however this is a community that is supposed to help others and make them feel welcome. You go and piss off one person, they may go tell 10 others to stay off this site as it's a joke.

For all you know, his lugs could be damaged or scratched up and just wants new ones. Yeah there are cheaper places to buy from and that's the only information you need to provide.

He only asked which color works better, not your opionions on if you like them or not or even if it's a "cool" thing to do.

OP aside from being your car and your choice, go with the color that matches your color scheme and accents your exterior color.

Thanks... and yeah when i bought the car the guy only had 2 lugs on some of the wheels and there were a few that were so rusted that I wasn't sure if I wanted to trust them to keep the wheel on.

Second, she's already got work done, and i'm content with the way she's running right now.. i just wanted something to make the exterior stand out a little because a LOT of people in my area have dsms.

lastly, i accidentally got the price backwards, they're only $58.

Your welcome bud. Just make sure you extend this kind of attitude and help to other members along the way :thumb:

Post on the lugnuts, or STFU folks. This is the APPEARANCE section. Discuss APPEARANCE as opposed to snide HP related remarks.

hey man id say red or black but have you looked into just getting your current lugnuts powdercoated? My cousin did this on his camaro and they look brand new still after two years in illinois.
