About 3 days ago I was driving the dsm around town (97 gsx) when I shifted into 3rd and when I pulled up to the stop sign and tried to pull the car out of 3rd the shifter was stuck in 3rd. I turned off the car and double clutched to try to pull it out, didnt work. Turned the car back on and tried to pull it out, didnt work. then I finally resorted to yanking it out (bad idea) I got another two blocks then the all the wheels completely locked up. Had to get the dsm towed (the car had to be drug up the tow truck because the wheels were locked) right now the car is on a slight incline because the car had to be towed to house because of insurance reasons.
I started researching the problem and starting the least expensive way n have been starting to work up. When I bled the clutch I completely lost the pedal. I followed instructions from dsm tuners to do the bleed. Now the dsm won't start at all and makes the sound like the timing belt is completely off. (when it was towed the car did start before I bled the clutch.) I have also checked the linkages under the center console and they are fine. Im very sure my 3rd and 4th gear synchros are gone because the shifter moves freely between these gears. I can still lock the shifter into 1 2 5 r but there is also no neutral. Need help my main concern right now is getting the car into neutral to get towed to a level surface to begin transmission removal, also need help diagnosing why engine wont start after clutch bleed.
