just picked up a 90 gsx...the car has a bad passenger side front axle. it's for sure bad. the boot is completly torn and i can hear it growling and clicking. will that bad axle cause my front diff to stop working? as of now only the rear wheels are driving the car. does that sound right? i need help bad.

also does anyone know where i can buy shifter cables for it?

any help is greatly appriciated.

Well if the pass front cv axle is bad to the point where its turning one half and not the other then That would cause the front not to work properly. Think about it in a front wheel drive car, if one cv axle is not in the trans or broken in half the car will not go anywhere because the transmission will put power to the free moving wheel. As far as shifter cables, dsm graveyard maybe, the dealership, junkyard, eBay.

True, thanks for the help. Yeah the axle is busted at the hub. Ordered another axle so hopefully that fixes my problem.

I'm sure it will. Speaking of which, I need to change my drivers side soon. I've had the new axle for some time now, but between work and working on everyone else's car, I have no time to work on my own. LOL.
