car- 95 Eclipse GSX full 6bolt swap, dsmlink v3 eprom ecu professional harness adapter for cas 1g green top cas. full mods list in profile.
So I've had the car running for sometime now like a year and i just went threw some electrical issues, my battery was shorted out from going dead from sitting, so got a new battery, then the alternator went out and it go so freaking hot to the touch it was like on fire, So put a reman alternator in with lifetime warranty.
Now after basically a year of code free driving, im starting to get the dreaded P0340 code, which i was told from the place i had it ran was a camshaft position sensor code. Now nothing has been changed except a recent dyno tune done by a reputable shop here in the pacific northwest about 3 weeks ago. code started poping 2 days ago.
Ive put a spare green top 1g cas in and I'm going to test it out after i clear the codes in link.
Ive herd RF noise can be a cause of this and it can also be cause from a faulty alternator.
When the CEl comes on I'm usually cruising in 4th down a windy road between 45-50mph i do not notice any change in drive ability or idle or its too minute to were its not noticeable.
So any trouble shooting ideas if the spare CAS does'nt fix the issue ?
