Sorry it seems like such a simple question but this is my first timing go around and I put it all back together and it doesn't run at all. I turned the belt 6 times to make sure nothing was hitting or binding and it checked out. Is it possible on a 97 head (was replaced somewhat recently) that the dowel pins are down when the timing marks are aligned? Everything else was lined up and still is. Or do the cams upside down bend the valves under start up?
