Nice. That's one of the few American cars i'd own. (maybe because technically it's an import?) I'm not a huge fan of the color personally, but that's me..

Not the first time we've seen you jump ship Matt :)
You'll be back....

I hate watching people build up a nice DSM just to sell it. I could never justify selling mine. Even when I do decide on my next project, the DSM will stay. I guess the sentimental value in this car will always outweigh the cash... not to mention I'd lose my ass if I tried to sell it with all that I've put into it :p Maybe that's why I'd never sell it - I'd be too hung up on how much I'd be losing!

I'm so glad GM finally decided to bring over the Holdens - I don't know why they waited so damn long!

I agree with that. Like I previously mentioned, I don't really like American cars (mostly because of styling and quality), but this one is pretty badass.

I've read that one of the reasons Pontiac is cancelling the GTO is because sales aren't as good as they'd hoped. I personally think if they would've called it a Monaro instead of GTO, it could've done much better... just a theory of course..

Thanks for all the compliments guys. I appreciate it. When I got the car I, OF COURSE, wanted the APS TT kit for it. But...$$$$$! Procharger is almost half the cost and I should still see about 500rwhp and somewhere in the neighborhood of 450rwtq. I'm judging this off my buddy's 04 A4 running the same pulley and otherwise completely stock as well. He's putting down 490rwhp and 442rwtq, peaking at 9.2psi at 6k rpm. Yes, the pistons are the main weak link. Most recommend 8psi and/or about 500rwhp. But, alot of it is in the tune too. WE ALL KNOW THAT!!! :) Anyways, I'm out to dinner. GF's nagging at me to leave, LOL. Be back later!

GM didn't plan it out well. The car didn't do well because it's an old platform - they waited way too long to bring it over and it probably wasn't a good idea to call it a GTO, especially with all of the retro designs coming out these days. The car had nothing in common with the old nameplate.

We'll see if they scrap it completely. I keep hearing rumors of a new GTO on the upcoming Camaro platform. We'll see.

Few more teaser pics ;)...

Quit teasing , we need an engine shot and a dyno graph;) ;)

My last trip to gainsville I ran a yellow one , owned me hard (12.6>14.2)

I talked to him later that night , headers/T.B./exhaust/mild cam/6 sp/on drag radials.
Nice car

A WWWWHHHOOOLLLLEEEE lot better now! Ended up not seeing QUITE what I expected. My car seemed to not like timing as much as my buddy John's car. Was seeing about 2-4deg. less above 5500rpm. Which is quite a bit. But, that being said, I am one happy happy person! :) Car is an ANIMAL! That's all I can say. Wow, just wow. 6 hrs. on the dyno, here's the pics...
