btw to the original poster, how is insurance on this thing? Do you know what they classify it as? I wouldn't think they would classify it as a sports car? Or atleast I hope not. Yes, finally an update

I realize this may be a stupid question, but I was checking these out the other day. I noticed your car is a single rear exit exhaust, while I saw 2 at the dealer that were both dual rear exhaust. One of them had twin pipes at each exit..kinda like a stock dsm, the other just had single. Whats the difference. Oh btw, they were both factory new, so the exhaust wernt aftermarket. Also they were both 2006 model year.

Mine exits out the rear left side, yes. But it is a TRUE dual exhaust. Just both pipes exit there. In 05 and 06 they changed that. The reason is purely for LOOKS. One of the biggest complaints from buyers was the GTO's lack of style. Yes, a lot of people were'nt happy with it. Alot of these would-be buyers though were ones accustomed to the styling of the OLD GTO's. So for 05 they added the (non funtional) hood scoops and dual exhaust out back (and of course the LS2). I kind of like the smooth hood on the 04's but admittedly I like the dual exhaust. I may convert mine over in the future. Anyways, as far as the two diff. duals you saw...the one with just the single tip on each side is stock. The duals on each side is more than likely part of the SAP kit. Did it also have body changes as well (diff. wing, front grill inserts, body kit)?

Insurance, surprisingly, is not too bad. I have two tickets. One comes off in Oct. and one in Apr. next year. Both "stupid" tickets, but anyways...
Right now I pay about $130 a mo. In Oct. it will go down to approx. $110. And next year I was told when my record is clean again I will more than likely be under $100/mo. And yes, it was considered a sports car.

Yes. And it is shi**y.
With the cool air this time of year meth is'nt really needed. Before it warms up next year though I am DEFINITELY getting it! I'm looking at relocating the front mount lower as well and making a custom CAI for the blower (like the Vortech kit).

No, it's not been dumped. Looks like it just rolled off the showroom floor She just never rides it and I want a 750 next year so I figure sell this one and get as much as we can for it since it's basically BRAND NEW!
