Gotta love the GTO but what is the performance differences between the toyo t1r's and the bfgoodrich kdw2's? is it worth the extra $135 a tire?

HOLY ####!!! That is a great setup! Are any body changes in the works? They have potential, I just think they look like Grand Ams stock. No offense, your car is smokin. Awesome color too. Should be plenty fast.:thumb:

Agreed except for grandams are flaming and this thing is a wildabeast

Impressive setup, now it needs a 3- 3.5 inch exhaust and it should boot you well over the 500 mark...unless you already did...then i got nothing. Congrats!!:rocks: :rocks:

Ah damn man the GTO either that or a G35 is going to be my next car once i sell my 2G, dun worry folks i still have my beater 1G to fix up but i am goin for either an 05 GTO or 04+ G35

Nice ride Matt, I still cannot believe you are through with the DSM game.I must say that is one of the cleanest GTO's i have seen in the Low Country.Sure wish Savannah Dragway was still open so i could see it run.Last time we were out there we made a few people angry.Once again first class project as usual. Might start something new myself.

I saw that color gto a couple days ago and it made me wonder if there was anything else going on with this car?

Hey, I just wanted to let you know how my buddy is doing. After an intake, headers, hollow-ed cats, and home made exhaust. He put down 346whp. After the HPE C-cams install and tune he bumped power to 426whp which was good for a 11.98 pass on the 1/4, I was awe-stucken... and all that on N/A.OMG

What's up Marlon. How you been? Thanks for the comp. Yeah, you know me and my cars. I'm anal. I know. LOL. Probably waiting till I put a clutch in it to take it to the track. Want to take it to a 1/4 though. None of this 1/8th mile crap. I'm so tired of 1/8th mile tracks. Anyways...so what's your new project gonna be :)

GILZ, before the blower I averaged right at 19mpg driving back and forth to work. Since putting on the blower I've gotten that number up to 20.9mpg.

4BangR, I have no idea what that comment meant that you posted WTF

Damn...That's about all I can say. Nice job and good looking car.

Sick car, a local guy who has an insane 130mph trapping civic just bought a LS2 in a very similar SteelBlueish color like that. Its so intense, he put longtube headers and straightpipes in it and got it tuned. Hes now getting almost 30mpg out of it and its laying down almost 400rwhp, absolutely rediculous. I forget the actual number it put down but I remember when it was stock it put down 360rwhp

Nice numbers.

Those rear mounted turbo kits are scary.

love it but, personally dont like the shifter feel (too in love with VW's). Make sure you show us the economy. Shoot for higher then 10mpg :)

are you kidding me, you know those things are at 100mph at 2200 rpm in 6th gear? shoot with the extra torque that thing is dishing out from the supercharger, he could ###### start in 3rd no problem and just ease it into 6th and cruise. :talon:

Yea those six speeds are great on gas, I looked at the log books for my cousins Trans am, and he gets 25-27 mpg.

Trust me, I did a ton of research into all the kits for the GTO. At the time I made my decision there was ATI, Vortech, Magnuson, STS, and APS. Now, if I had had the $$$ I'd have given my left nut for the APS TT kit. But at about $10k it's a very pricey setup. Amazing, but pricey. The STS has the ability to make great numbers, yes (turbos and nitrous make TONS of torque on these motors!), but I was'nt keen on it's location/looks and when you start to add options to the kit like I would have, it also starts to move up in price. The Vortech I did'nt like because of looks, the air/water setup, and the fact that it shares oil w/ the engine. The Maggie, well, at the time it was still having issues w/ heat soak. Plus it was about a grand more than the ATI and also is quite a bit more limited (do love the sound of it though LOL. So here we are to the ATI. CLEAN install. Front mount air to air. Self contained unit (think about how big a plus this was for me considering what happened to the first one I got from them, see pics above,...self contained means only blower goes bad and no metal goes into the engine). Very quiet unit as well believe it or not. It's got quite a bit of room to grow too. $83.00 for a pulley and walla, more boost. And to top it off it was the cheapest kit. Half the cost of the APS, couple grand under the STS (w/ my options added), and about a grand under the Maggie and Vortech.

As far as the shifter goes, yes, it's sloppy. But I have a $335 JHP GMM Ripshifter sitting in the garage waiting to go in. Plus some RP synchromax. Both get nothing but incredible praises from all the GTO guys. May put that in this weekend. Was waiting to do the clutch, but my stocker is holding perfectly so I'll prob. just go ahead and put it in.

Took some more shots of her today. New 06 tails, silverstar blue turn signal bulbs (f/r), and black painted hat sections on the rotors

Yes they are! You see how low the gate/etc. hangs near the ground?! When you get on the thottle the damn thing almost hits the pavement.

So that thing is bone stock besides the procharger? I dont know if you posted it, but what psi was the 488 made at? I am really liking the color. Keep up the good work.

Ah, to each his own. I consider it one very smooth, sleek car. And one HELL of a sleeper.

Actually, they're NOT made by pontiac. It's made by Holden in Australia. Shipped over here along with every other 2004-2006 GTO that is in the states.

Yeah, ok. Again, to each his own. But if I had to choose between this or an STi (or even an EVO), I'd take this.....Oh wait, I did :rocks:

Since then I have added only JBA catless mid pipes. VERY nice sound. Much throatier than stock :) Boost was 9.2psi and since opening the exhaust up some it's now at 8.8psi. Lots more in store too so stay tuned :D

Yes, finally an update:thumb:

I realize this may be a stupid question, but I was checking these out the other day. I noticed your car is a single rear exit exhaust, while I saw 2 at the dealer that were both dual rear exhaust. One of them had twin pipes at each exit..kinda like a stock dsm, the other just had single. Whats the difference. Oh btw, they were both factory new, so the exhaust wernt aftermarket. Also they were both 2006 model year.
