Can I use a 97-99 2gb transmission with a 95-96 2ga Transfer Case, and vice versa, if Dogbox gears (straight cut gears) are placed in the transmission?

You need the 95-96 front diff crown wheel to match the transfer case; the dogbox has no bearing on that.
