take a look at MadDogTransmissions.com They rebuilt my trans 3 years ago, and I still have not had any problems. the trans has outlasted 4 motors. I say that is pretty good. Just be sure to change your gear oil every 30,000 or 60,000 miles

the o/p is asking about a DOGBOX trans, not about who can do a good rebuild

And this thread definitely needs to be moved, you might get better responses

From what Ive seen they dont do much work anymore. Website is pretty cheasy and they had products they where going to release that never did. But you never know, they have made good trannys.

I just have to through this out because this guy is awesome.

Mad Dog trannies... looks like all they do is 700R's powerglides and such. And transmissions.com seems to be alot of different shops. Dogboxracing probably just never caught on because of guys like shep and tre who do great work. They have 2 cars in the 8's.

I've seen jackstransmissions before. They look okay. I didn't see anything about new gears in there rebuild. Also www.dogboxracing.com has a new site. A little better than the old one.

He has never had a failed tranny and has ran 10's over and over in his race build. He is a good friend of mine and probably the best dsm mechanin in Colorado.

Email him if you have questions, he does the same builds as shep and them at a better price.

So is the only reason that you 'cannot' DD a dogbox is the noise? Or is there something I'm missing?
