Does water/methanol 50/50 injection cause a/f to run rich?

I'm considering running one instead of e85.

But curious If running 50/50 does that make a car run rich?

Let say without meth a/f is 12:1 under boost

Will injecting meth make it run richer than 12:1?

Assuming nothing was touched on the tune just inject with x nozzle.

I have never run water injection, but I believe you have to tune in order to get it to run right.

Yes it will make your car richer but how much will depend on how much water/meth your putting in the motor.

You need to setup how much of a mix your going to run, I would recommend doing alot reading on it although its not that difficult once you get it started. Target a/f ratio is that close to gas a/f ratio like 11.0-11.4ish and with water/meth will allow you to run alot more timing.

I'm running it now. It causes me to run about a half a point richer but I compensate with the tune. If I had the choice to run e85 instead of meth, I would.

Water/Meth has been used for a loooooong time, so do read up on it. But to answer you're question, yes, it will take away some of the air since you're injecting another fuel into the mix. If you take a good tune and spray, yes you'll run rich. I'd suggest only spraying when you start to knock. Makes your tank last alot longer too.

Forget the Meth your setup is not going to gain a lot from it as it is now and just going to give you more issues to deal with and more headache then your currant setup;

Go SD and/or pick up a better designed set of injectors,This would be your best bet if you wanting to change anything.
