Ok so i just got my gsx fixed from a horrible accident (core support was cracked and frame was bent).. My friend has a big 16g.. 550 injectors.. safc neo.. and a wally 255 with regulator. Can i run all those mods and turbo setup without running a MAFT? for this spring im honestly just looking for a low 13 very high 12. And finally could i run the stock clutch for just a couple months its oem with 55k on it. If anyone could help me out id really appreciate it!

Maft will only work for you if u where trying to run a gm maf maybe if you wanted to vent your bov or location of a different maf besides the stock 2g maf. But sence you got a stock 2g maf you will be fine up to like 400+ hp. The maft just is used to translate to the ecu an after market maf.

If you want a very basic set up that works. Pick up an evo 8 maf and a set of 560's. They work almost perfectly on the stock 2g ecu.

Edit: But the 550's will be fine with the safc. You will still want a logger, to watch timing and knock, since you will have no way to adjust timing.

Yeah like those guys said, you want a WBO2. Until then at least keep an eye on your timing as it will both save your engine and timing retardation will kill your power if you're knocking.

ok cool i just wanted to make sure that you didnt need to use both. for the spring i just plan on doin a cheap simple build to hold me off till summer when im out of school and start working full time again, just buyin my buddies used neo 550 injectors and gonna get a new fuel pump just for spring. And ya i will have a wideband hooked up before i complete the build. This is just TEMPORARY to see what the car can do for the spring track session.

Summer plan is dsmlink v3 speed density holset turbo setup, bigger injectors, you know the usual stuff haha

And i have a guy in town that is awesome at tuning so tuning isnt really a problem
