Do a 1G Head fit a 2G car

I was wondering if a 1G head will fit a 2G car. My 97 eclipse timing belt snapped about 1 wks ago. I'm trying to find a way to get it fixed for about 500 that all the cash I have at the moment, just paid for my Fall classes. I have seen a couple of 1G heads on ebay and one at a local junkyard. I figure I could get something used then have it pressure checked at a machine shop to see if it is good. If any of you are selling one please let me know. Thanks

If you are talking about the 4G63 engine, then yes it will fit.. Lots of people swap them around..

I have a 3" Injen intake. You said I would need a new intake, that one I have will not work?

the intake manifold itself, not the intake pipe. 1g runners are almost twice the size of a 2g.

If you want it to be an easy fix get a 2g 7-bolt head.
If you go with a 6-bolt head you will have to rewire some things, like the CAS.
