DIY turbo swap

need help to find a DIY turbo swap walkthrough from stock t-25 to small 16g any help with this would be greatly appreciated as i would rather not just start tearing apart my car and miss anything. Thank you.

What do you need to know? Did you purchase an install kit?

You have to get a 16g install kit for a 2g like this one Forced Performance 16G Install Kit (2G DSM) - Modern Automotive Performance. With the install kit its basically just swapping the old parts with the new. Have you done a search on the forums, im pretty sure their are thousands of threads exactly like this one that have been answered several times. Hope this helps.

I didn't even have an install kit the first time I did mine. T-25 to B16G. I got the turbo outlet from a buddies 14B and I modified my oil return tube. I just honed out the holes to fit on the 16G. I eventually pieced together my own install kit.

thanks for the help everyone i really appreciate it as i dont really have alot of time to dive into alot of the tech articles im sorry i have a full time job and a 5 month old baby to take care of

oh and yes i have the install kit for it already it came with the purchase of the car

First time I did this was in 2002. I ordered a 19c frank jr and install kit from extreme motorsports. As I remember the kit came with a line to run the oil feed from the head instead of the oil filter housing because thats the way that the 1st gen cars run them. Most people run a -4an ss line from the filter housing now though. The turbine wheel was clipped, and I remember that it seemed to spool terribly slow compared to the t2 small, but when it kicked in, it came on hard.

Well If you dont have time to read, why ask for install guides, the link I provided has to the point detail, its says what to take of and shows a picture for visual aid, I used it on my first turbo swap and thanx to that same link it went quickly and was simple, there isnt alot of reading on it, maybe 1 or 2 sentances explaining then a pic, and so on...
